Ong Peng Chu is a key driving force in Malaysia’s entertainment industry. He previously served as Secretary-General of the Music Council of Malaysia, Asia’s first board representative of the International Council of Performers’ Rights (SCAPR), board member of the International Federation of Musicians (FIM), Recording Industry Association of Malaysia (RIM), and the Music Authors’ Copyright Protection (MACP). He is also President of the Malaysian Music Empowerment Association (KITA) and Vice President of the Malaysia-China Performing Arts Federation.

In 1996, he founded Tin Can Music Ltd., promoting local original works performed by superstars such as Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, Aaron Kwok, Anita Mui, and Sandy Lam.

He is also the mentor and former manager of “Asia’s Pop Diva” Shila Amzah, and successfully recommended Jeryl Lee Pei Ling to compete in the finals of Sing! China 2016 at Beijing’s Bird’s Nest Stadium, later guiding her to victory on Tencent Video’s The Next 2023. He also nurtured Malaysia’s rising star Masya, who won the Most Promising Newcomer Award at the Shenzhen Asian Music Festival.

Ashton Chung is a Malaysian music producer, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist musician with international training and cross-market expertise. He graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA) in Contemporary Writing and Production, and further honed his craft in classical vocal performance at the China Conservatory of Music in Beijing.

In 2025, he founded SWYM Entertainment Group, a diversified entertainment company with businesses spanning artist and talent management, music education, music production and publishing, film and multimedia scoring, and international cultural exchange and live events. Under his leadership, SWYM is positioned as a bridge between Malaysia and the global creative economy, fostering collaborations across Asia and worldwide creative hubs.

Beyond his entrepreneurial role, Ashton is also a sought-after vocal coach and producer, promoting the next generation of artists such as Sharon Lim and Zi Xuen, while continuing to expand SWYM’s influence in both established and emerging markets.
